Jesus the Bread of Life

The collage of bread shown was done by the younger members of the Joshua Generation. Pictures of bread were printed out with help of youth members which was then carefully torn around the edges by hand and pasted on a large piece of paper, the finishing touch was the Name of Jesus which was agreed by all belonged in the center of the picture. For further study of the concept of Jesus being the Bread of our life, we undertook a bread tasting sunday school lunch.

We had: Nad from India, Foccilia from Italy, Jamaican spiced loaf and hard dough bread and some English whole wheat rolls.

We made the tasting with help of butter, cheese, ham, Jam and marmalade into interesting combinations which was enjoyed by all.

The children told of their likes and dislikes which was interesting. At first could not understand someone could call themselves 'Bread', we thanked God for the bread eaten and the varieties we can enjoy from shops bakery.

Most importantly we learnt that there is only one type of bread for all which is Jesus, the real heavenly bread, in whom there is true life and that all our needs are met in him and should never lose our taste or desire fro Him.

God bless you for reading this.

WHAT DOES JESUS MEAN TO ME?

Jesus means to me a great and powerful Lord that saves me from danger and evil with his Holy power.  He teaches me righteousness and self control.  Jesus helps people that have joy and holiness in them.  If they are sad and poor, and know how to pray they too will receive holiness

To me, Jesus is my hero!

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A YOUNG CHRISTIAN TODAY?

My mum asked me a question:  What is it like to be a young Christian today.  I am 12 years old and this is my response.

My name is Ezra and I am a born again Christian.  I admit that it is a bit hard being a young Christian because sometime Jesus gives you these powers, not the powers where you can be like Superman or Spiderman.  You get the power of visions or interpreting dreams.  I know all this because I have been there.  I have had these dreams and visions and some of them have actually come to life.  People sometimes go on the streets and start cursing.  Sometimes I feel like going up to them and say ‘what is wrong with you?’  They do not realise what they are saying nor do they realise that there are people in other countries that have greater needs?  I believe that being a young Christian means spending more time with God.
